Found a cheap monitor for my 64 on ebay but it needs some TLC

I found an old laptop that I and my daughter used to use, it is very slow on Windows, I wonder if I can use it with a linux distro and get it running again. I bought a new battery and power supply for it and installed Bodhi Linux on it.
